Mrs. DeRaymond   Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!!! You will get to celebrate my 18th year of teaching in either my algebra or geometry classroom. I grew up in Wheeling, WV, which is very close to Pittsburgh, thus an explanation for my enthusiasm to cheer for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates:) I have now lived in Virginia for 23 years. My husband and I have raised 2 children here; a daughter in her sophomore year of high school and an 8th grade son. Being outdoors, running, biking, scrap-booking, solving any kind of puzzles, and collecting duck related items are some of my interests. In addtion, I absolutely love to travel. This summer I had the opportunity to visit both San Francisco and Hawaii for the first time. I am looking forward to instilling a love for math in each of you this year. It will be my goal to help you reach for the stars and be a successful student by filling your minds with a wealth of knowledge.
